DIY RazTrack Rotator controller SDD3

My Initial attempt for 3cm EME was with IC 9700, Leo Badner GPSDO, 1.2m offset dish, WG90 input 26Ddb gain 0.5NFLNA, WG75 Waveguide relay, Kuhne 10368/144 MHz transverter and 15W SSPA. The rotator used was modified (“Sub Lunar”) CE-4 medium weight rotator for which I built the DIY option of OE5JFL controller. This controller with the modified EST25 encoders was within the 0.1 degree tolerance as requirement for tracking on 10GHz. However, the actual gearbox of the CE4 rotator had deviations greater than the required tolerance and became difficult maintaining tracking. With this setup, I was able to complete three 10GHz QSO’s. I am currently working on replacing this system with SDD3 (Slew Drive) rotator driven by (RazTrack) controller which I recently built and currently preparing for installation. This rotator uses integrated into the slew drive incremental encoders with resolution of 100 pulse/degree. This resolution is more than enough for tracking on 10GHz.In addition I’m replacing the 15W SSPA with 50W which required major changes on the RF plate that mounts on the 1.2m dish. Fingers crossed, if all goes as planned, I should be QRV on 10GHZ by the end of October.
