Hristovski Stevo - Patako (1920 - 1943)
Hristovski Stevo - Patako was a Macedonian revolutionary, a person who mercilessly devoted himself to the liberation and anti-fascist struggle of the Macedonian people for freedom. Even before the war, he became a member of the KPJ and manifested himself with his activity in the ranks of the revolutionary movement in Bitola.
During the occupation, due to his fighting activities, he was imprisoned and tortured twice. After the torture in the Bitola prison, the Bulgarian police interned him in Kavala. On his return from internment, he managed to escape from the police at the Bitola railway station. Torture, torture and internment did not break his revolutionary spirit, but made him even stronger and deeply convinced of the ideas propagated by the Party.
After escaping, he lived and operated illegally in Bitola. During that time spent in illegality, he did not rest, but worked tirelessly for the revolutionary movement. For the needs of the Party, he performed a variety of responsible party duties. On July 28, 1943 he was discovered and surrounded by the Bulgarian police. He entered the fight, but realizing that the fight was doomed to failure, he killed himself with the last bullet, so as not to fall alive into the hands of the enemy.
